Finally finished! This is the first time that I've entered a DA contest and I worked really hard on this design. I've not done a lot of cubism, but I went with the barn owl because it's face lends itself to cubism quite well.
I really hope I can win...I could use a new computer (my lovely current desk top is wonderful, but is from 2003...and starting to go unfortunately...).

This piece is very diverse. Whilst following the impressionistic guidelines of the variation of perspective, this piece remains subjective. Despite the expressed curvature within the feathers, appropriate segments have been outlined and they certainly add a simple, but effective emphasis. I cannot say that this was the first/ only piece which portrays a bird, but the colour and bird type certainly are original. I would have to say though, There are too many curved lines, and not enough shape jittering. This is probably due to the outline. There isn't a sense of fragmentism. Also, having the bird being portrayed in the same shape as the bag is very effective. Very nice vision, but I reckon, could be more effective. I have scored you relatively low on technique due to lack of fragmentism and the natural curvature. Well done overall, this is a great piece, and you have based it on the task very well.
Oh wow! Love the kind of bird you picked for a messanger bag. (Totally adores Owls *____*) I so want to have a bag like this...the design is just awesome and very polished with that jazzy hit of colour with the destaturated greens. I wish you so much luck in the contest!
