So, yesterday I went to the dentist for a check up and cleaning, which went really well and I had no cavities...yay! ...and then I mentioned that my night guard (retainer-looking thing that prevents teeth grinding at night) hadn't fit well in a while, so they scheduled me for this morning. I also mentioned that I would like them to put a bumper on my two front teeth, since there had been talk of that in previous visits over the last couple of years.

A few Christmas' ago, I got the bright idea that I could crack a walnut with my teeth. It didn't end so well...and I got a little chip/crack in one, so the next visit I had, they sanded that part off and sanded down the other a bit to make them even. So then my teeth were slightly short, but they looked alright and I take generally good care of my teeth, however, over the next year or so, I noticed I had a bit of trouble eating certain foods using my top teeth and it was getting annoying.

So finally, today, I got these 'bumpers' put in. They're like caps for the ends of your teeth and they protect and get worn down instead of the actual tooth. Basically I now have more...teeth and they look pretty good too! nice colour matching and everything, though I have a follow up a couple of weeks for any adjustments.

I had thought, for whatever crazy reason, that it would be a simple in-and-out kind of thing, but I spent a good hour in the dentist's chair ;_; two needles in my front top gums and then they sanded down my teeth some more T_T burning teeth smells bad. but all in all, I'm glad I finally did it @_@ of course now, my face is frozen and I'm slightly doped up...
